Greetings from Miles

My first marriage ended with the tragic, sudden death of my wife.  We adopted two children at birth who are the light of my life – Josh and Arielle.    We spoke with their birth mothers regularly during their pregnancies.  We shared special times together during the birth mothers’ hospital stays after delivery.  The babies were voluntarily released into our care when Josh and Arielle were only a few days old.  Both think of their birth parents in loving ways.

The kids and I deeply grieved when my first wife died of a sudden heart attack when the kids were in their pre-teen years.  I continued loving and raising Josh and Arielle as a single dad.

Greetings from Lisa
This is Lisa.  One major reason I fell in love with Miles was his strong devotion and loyalty to his children -- they always came first as we got to know each other.  We met in a Starbucks through EHarmony.  I was a single girl living in New York and supporting myself when we met.  It took many years before I found Miles and I know he is the love of my life.  I fell in love with him and then with Josh and Arielle.  I believe I helped mend their tragic loss, which will always be felt on some level, with my love.

We have been married since September, 2005 and long to share our love by raising a child together.  Our relationship’s foundation is based upon open communication and common values of family first.  We truly understand how precious adoption is.  We are ready to love and nurture a child from birth to adulthood.

We imagine our child will grow up with strong values and every opportunity to learn the wonders of life -- just as Josh and Arielle have.  Lisa plans to stay home to nurture baby through the toddler and child years providing guidance and the incredible fun and happiness that she gives to us and her close relatives and friends.   We will support and love our children unconditionally as they grow from infancy to adulthood.

We are both energetic people.  Miles works out in the gym and I walk and bicycle around our neighborhood.  We go to the beach as often as possible in the warmer months.  We speak about teaching our child to swim and go biking as a family.

Miles, the children (who are 15 and 16) and I are hoping to connect with a caring birth mother or couple who will trust us after getting to know us.  Arielle and Josh are excited to become older siblings.
